The Kidnapped Anglican Bishop Regain Freedom

 The Anglican Bishop of Jebba Diocese, Kwara State, Rt. Rev Oluwaseun Aderogba, his wife, and driver who were kidnapped by gunmen on Sunday night, June 12, have been released.



This news was broken to the Anglican Television, ACNNTV, by the Bishop of Omu-Aran Diocese, Rt. Rev. Festus Sobanke and confirmed by the General Secretary of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Venerable Paul Dajur.


The Oyo State Police Command also confirmed this in a statement released on Tuesday night, June 14, by the Police Public Relations Officer for Oyo State, Adewale Osifeso.


The statement added that all three were released unhurt around 6:20pm on Tuesday.


The couple and their driver were kidnappers on Ogbomoso-Oyo Expressway in Oyo State after their vehicle broke down on Sunday.
